I studied in Aarhus, Denmark from July 2009 to June 2010. Here's a small story about my travel (à la japonaise) for 3 weeks through random parts of Europe.
This is one of the last fun moments with my cute and caring flat mates lived together for the past half year in Aarhus - now we all seem to go out of this beautiful den and fly free! So now my journey begins ...

Before departure, I've shortly visited a friend as well as a great and passionate mentor in Frederiks near Viborg in Denmark. I just didn't want to miss this event even it happened counter clockwise. He shared literally everything with me about his life and passion. This encounter opened my eyes and expanded my horizon. People need *good* guidance for pursuit your life.

And, he prepared absolutely beautiful lunch for me!!! He also played a piano for me later .. perfectly romantic :))

Finally I've crossed the border and landed on Germany! I've just hopped in Berlin and Frankfurt ... Germany was bigger and wider, from the aspect of culture to the market (compare to Denmark). I saw more diversity of people and things and bigger selections - but more choices are better? It may make your life more complicated ... hopefully for the better! Our choice should come along on-going conversation between rational thinking and the gut feelings :)

It seemed to ready to start a food market around a square .. but unfortunately I had to leave before fun :(((

Next destination is Luxembourg! This is a small country with lots of charming places. It's a city size country with majority of population working for EU, including my friend, for whom I was there for.

** Attention behind them: I jumped off from the tippy top of the platform (10m) - it gives the sense of courage and freedom. I need more practice to feel more of it! Then I started to confirm I'm kind of adrenaline freaky type :) Knowing I'm just a very beginner of it, I look forward to what more challenges world can provide!

Leaving my friends, I began another solo journey - to ITALY!! I stopped at Venice, what I knew about this city is as a place of love, lust and beauty, pleasure is the only duty - sounds like paradise :) In reality, it was quite touristized, but it was still very pretty and dreamy to walk around the waterfront place.

Venetian masks have a long history of protecting their wearer's identity during promiscuous or decadent activities. Eventually, Venetian masks re-emerged as the emblem of Carnevale, a pageant and street fair celebrating hedonism. Somebody needs one? ;) They're used eloquently in the movie 'Eyes Wide Shut' by Stanley Kubrick, which is an ultimate love story in my taste.

I have decided to explore more into the unknown. Time wise, the furthest I can go was; Croatia! Obviously I have natural instinct finding food market - 3 minutes after getting off the Zagreb station, I encountered this yummy place :D They were selling absolutely beautiful veggies, fruits, meat, fish and CHEESE :) Surprisingly, some merchants knew few words in Japanese! Žao mi je, ne mogu govoriti hrvatski ... (seriously, I need Google translation installed in my brain!)

I had literally 15 hours in Croatia. A journey into unknown brings all kind of surprises ... I got almost kidnapped while looking for a park. The lesson taught: Never show that you're lost, and actually you are, choose who to guide you, very carefully!

After the hyper tension from the pre-kidnapped activities, I finally found what I was looking for. Knowing I'm alive, the food tasted extra-divine, and everything seems to be glorious beauty :)

We had "007 spaghetti" ... I just didn't understand how is this 007 about, but it was not bad :)

I will never stop excited about being around mountains especially those elegant ones - they are like sincere friends and at the same time like strict mentors, who encourage, inspire, teach good lessons, and the most importantly, remind me of joy to be and they're such great companies.

Finally, my journey with my mother came to the end at Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, king of Mountains! Overwhelmingly grandiose and dynamic ... this encounter is, again totally speachless.

Filet mignon "Rossini" poêlé et sauce à la truffle .. gorgeous combination of beef, foie gras and truffle sauce, almost overly pleasing the mouth and stomach :)

Now I'm back in Japan, a country of chaotic mixture of tradition and technology - but you will never in short of beautiful food here :D
The overall experience in Europe nurtured me from flesh to spirit!
I would like to express my gratitude to all who I met and support me, shared stories or be great company with me. Every-thing and time shared will remain as my precious jewel shining my heart :)
And I look forward to seeing those people again, and those who I haven't met yet!
So my journey continues ..
