A perfect day @ Olga's Kitchen

Olga in her kitchen...

preparing tasteful international dishes with a Mediterranean twist...

mouthwatering steaks with Dijon mustard and some garlic...

Fried marinated beef strip in with leeks...

some mozzarella and asparagus...

Cece's famous pie with pork scratchings...

drink to that and look forward for the next time :-)

Winter lunch at Aamanns v2.0 in a thousand word...

This is only a minor visual contribution to the Christina's fantastic blog on Aamanns Etablissement.

3 pieces of smørrebrød...

Salmon marinated in spices, citrus and dill served with apple, horseradish, crispy rye bread and lots of watercress...

some pate...

and Danish cheese toasted rye bread and relish for the end.

Unfortunately I did not made a picture of Aamanns tartare - himmerland beef with crisp pot atoes, mustard cream, tarragon, capers, gherkins and shallots; simply delicious!

Tim Ho Wan @ Hong Kong, Michelin 1 Star@10€

I've wait ca. 90 minutes at Tim Ho Wan, just few hours before my flight to Shanghai... and I've been lucky! People ware nervous, agitated... actually quite strange and unceremonious for Chinese...

BUT, the prawn dumplings, pork buns... tasted as haven and it cost less than 10€! If I compare this to other bills I've paid at at other Michelin-starred restaurants... simply I can't believe!

The prawn wrapped in delicate, rice pastry... a food amazingly inspirational and tasty!

Steamed to a perfection.... and yet with some crisp texture... actually completely contra-intuitive; I've checked few time what's in it!

And when the food is fried, well just amazing!

The man behind is Mak Pui Gor, the former dim sum master at three-starred restaurant Lung King Heen at Hong Kong's Four Seasons Hotel. I believe this explains everything!

Don't miss this one! Just take a number and stand in line...

Rating: 9.1 (out of 10.0)

Random food @ Shanghai

Although it is not completely different from the Zhejiang coastal province, Shanghai have some authentic cuisine, that is a drunken (in alcohol) steamed or raw dishes. In addition mix of sugar and soy sauce are most normal like "sweet and sour pork ".

One can get almost anything… cold sesame noodles, seaweed, cucumber, shrimps and pork soup dumplings, pork stewed with eel... even some 1930’s cocktail like grasshopper or Mai Tai.

Enjoy the pictures and help me to fill the text :)
