XinJiShi @ Shanghai


Probably one of the most popular Shanghai-style restaurant and recommended by Michelin guide is Xinjishi. We waited quite long just to be sited and than even longer to actually get some food…


which serves a delicious braised pork with brown sauce, sweet and with equal parts of meat and fat... irresistable and also terribly not healthy...


an appetizer made of stuffed red dates stuffed with a glutenous rice; really interesting/strange savory-sweet mixture...


perfectly steamed vegetables...


seriously spicy tiger prawns with chili peppers...


and of course, juicy Shanghai dumplings made with pork, ginger and steamed to perfection; especially appreciated by my friend Dame.

Not really impressed at the speed of the service but the tastiness of the food and presentation was on the better side.
